Reddit Content Notice
1 · Who this is for
This page is not for our customers. It is for anyone who posts on Reddit and would like to know whether we hold something they wrote, and what to do about it. As far as we can tell nobody else in this category publishes one, which is a poor state of affairs rather than a competitive advantage.
2 · What we hold
Public Reddit posts and comments that matched a keyword one of our customers is tracking — typically a brand or product name. We hold the text, the permalink, the subreddit, the score and the timestamp. We do not hold private messages, modmail, or anything from a private subreddit.
We attach a sentiment label and a confidence score to each one. We do not build a profile of you, we do not track you across mentions, and we do not sell or redistribute what you wrote.
3 · Why
So that the company you mentioned can find out that you mentioned them and, if it is warranted, answer you. The lawful basis is legitimate interest, and the balancing test turns on the content being public, the purpose being narrow and the retention being short.
4 · Model training
Your content is never used to train a model. We use language models to classify and to draft, and our provider is contractually zero-retention.
5 · Deletion
Delete it on Reddit and it leaves us within 24 hours, including from exports our customers have already generated. You do not have to contact us for that to happen.
If you want it gone without deleting it on Reddit, use the data request form. We acknowledge within 72 hours and complete within 30 days.
