COMPARISON

Mentionr vs GummySearch

GummySearch closed to new signups on 2025-11-30 and deletes customer data on 2026-12-01. Here is what moves across and what does not.

The short version

  • Pick Mentionr if you need monitoring that is still accepting customers, with sentiment, alerts and reply drafts.
  • Pick GummySearch if you are looking for audience discovery — except that you cannot, because it is winding down.
  • Either is fine if all you want is a keyword and an email, in which case F5Bot is free and does that.

Where GummySearch is the better choice

GummySearch was excellent at audience and subreddit discovery, and its saved-search model is the thing worth replicating. We built watchlists in its shape and we still do not have its discovery tooling. If discovery was the reason you paid for it, we are not a like-for-like replacement.

Moving across

Export your saved searches, drop the CSV on the migration page, and we rebuild them as watchlists keyword for keyword — then backfill so you land on real mentions. Thirty days free, and your data stays exportable.

Questions

When exactly does GummySearch delete my data?
On 1 December 2026. The paid-customer transition period runs from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2026.
Will my saved searches survive the move?
Saved searches become watchlists, keyword for keyword. Audiences become subreddit lists. Audience discovery does not move, because we do not have it.
Why did GummySearch shut down?
It could not reach an agreement aligned with Reddit's data-API policies. We operate under registered API access and a commercial agreement, which is the difference that matters here.
What does the migration cost?
Thirty days free, then whichever tier fits.
